Christopher Houlihan, the John Rose Distinguished College Organist and Director of Chapel Music and Artist-in-Residence at Trinity College, will give a brief talk about the origins and history of the pipe organ.

This orientation will be followed by performances by three of his students:

• Elijah Morris, ‘28 of Newtown, CT
• Madison Thompson, ’25 of Derby, CT, and
• Chris Yi, ’26 of Farmington, CT.

In between these students’ performances, Professor Houlihan will highlight certain features about the repertoire, demonstrating how the pipe organ works. The 90-minute program with conclude with a time for questions and, of course, an informal time for coffee and further conversations.
