​The Musical Club of Hartford hosts its annual recital of young classically trained pianists (ages 18-30) who are this year’s recipients of the Musical Club's Evelyn Bonar Storrs Piano Scholarships.

​Evelyn Bonar Storrs established this fund to support "talented and advanced students of piano." Each year, the Musical Club hosts a piano recital that showcases some of these stars of tomorrow who are enrolled in piano performance degree programs in Connecticut colleges and universities.

Performers and program so far include:
    George Lekov (DMA at UConn) - Autumn Elegy by Pancho Vladigerov, Pastorale by         Lubomir Pipkov, and Bulgarian Dance by Marin Goleminov
    Yimiao Fang (DMA at Hartt) - Ballade in F Major by Chopin and Threshing Dance by         Yiqiang Sun
    Sophia Cornicello (BM at Bard) - Etudes #4,5,6 by Ligeti
    Mingus Fu (DMA at Hartt) - Preludes Op.28, no13,15,16 by Chopin
