May 12, 2022: Music by Members: "Form and Style"
This exciting program contains music of many styles and time periods. Form and style will be explored by Linda MacGougan, piano, with performances of Preludes and Fugues by Bach and Franck.
In Honor of Janice T. Ross, beloved student and excellent singer, Susan Mardinly, soprano and Lean-Cheng Tan, piano will offer four spirituals which tell the stories of "Deep River" and the emergence of human rights for all.
Soohyung Yoo, piano, will perform Suite bergamasque by Claude Debussy. And Alice Matteson, soprano and David Garrido Cid, piano will pay tribute to Stephen Sondheim (assisted by Patrice Fitzgerald, mezzo-soprano), followed by piano selections from Albeniz’s Iberia and the Mephisto Waltz by Liszt.
